Contemplate to Ease Stress

I like to start my day by finding some quiet time away from the morning hustle of the household. I just sit comfortably and place my hands on my lap, close my eyes and gently contemplate and see in my mind's eye the love and beauty that I find all around me. I especially like to dwell on calming scenes of nature and the beautiful sounds that it creates. I guess it's what you'd call an exercise in being grateful for being alive and well and for having family, friends and pets to connect to. After ten minutes or so, I open my eyes and I have a smile on. This is my daily stress-buster and waker-upper. It sure preps me up to be more positive and to appreciate what the day has in store for me.
