How not to: Fail to plan and you plan to fail. A morning without a routine is guaranteed to end up with someone running late.
Plan: The key to having a smooth morning is to be organized. Plan as much as you can in advance so that all you need to think about in the morning is getting up and getting out of bed.
Step one: On waking, get your kids to make their beds immediately. It only takes a minute to do but it is a good habit and ensures that you start your day on the right foot.
Step two: Time to go and get something to eat. They don't call it 'break/fast' for nothing. Your kids won't have eaten all night so it is important that they refuel with something healthy and hearty. A bowl of cereal and some fruit ensures steady energy until lunchtime.
Step three: Now, it's time for your children to get dressed. Make this easier by putting out their clothes the night before but be sure to check the weather forecast to make sure they wear something weather-appropriate.
Step four: Finally, make sure they brush their teeth with Oral-B. Teeth brushing should take no less than two minutes, and remind them to concentrate on covering all areas of their teeth and gums to stop the build-up of plaque and to get rid of any leftover food.
After: With a good routine, everybody can start their day in a calm and methodic way.
